We just reconstructed our balcony off the master bedroom, having had a wooden railing there which had rotted. Obviously, the previous wooden rotted railing was dangerous! Therefore we wanted to build the new one using aluminum, something that would last a lot longer than the previous railing did. We selected Peak Railing Systems for our installation, from Home Depot. Our contractor easily went to Home Depot and selected the pieces he needed to build the railing structure, and also put a gate in one end so that we could get out from that upper balcony in the event of a fire. We bought a rope ladder for this. So now that it is installed, the 42 inches standard grid is very beautiful and looks and feels very strong. We are very happy with this choice. we also got a lot of customer service help online from designers from the peak company helping us to estimate the cost of the project. This is good, because the contractor bought all of the pieces and we will know what they paid for the structure and can factor that into their final bill to us.
